MY STORY
About Me
As a child on the shores of Amelia Island, FL during our annual girls' beach trips, my friend and I talked for hours with our moms about our future aspirations. While others were unsure, I was certain that I wanted to do something in the art world while living near the beautiful beaches of Savannah.
Fast forward to today, and I am on the cusp of graduating college and I have started my own business crafting exquisite home accessories from delicate oyster shells. Alongside this, I continue to hone my skills in watercolor painting. My ultimate aspiration is to expand my line of art where people recognize my work and say, "Look, that's a Bina!" when they enter a room.
Thank you for your support of my business. As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Warm regards,
-Bina

Were you aware that there are various breeds of oysters?
In the oyster shell products that I have crafted, I do not restrict myself to a single breed of oyster shell; instead, I incorporate several breeds. Here is a list of the breeds you might find in your item.

James River
James River Oysters are harvested from Virginia's James River, just upstream from Chesapeake Bay. Here the water is less salty than in the sea, so these oysters have a milder, less briny flavor than most sea-caught oysters.

Malpeque
Malpeque Oysters are an Atlantic oyster from one of the Prince Edward Island oyster appellations in Canada. They are cultivated in the pristine glacial depths of Malpeque Bay.

Beausoleil
Beausoleil Oysters are an Atlantic oyster from one of the New Brunswick oyster appellations by Negauc, Canada. The name translated means "Beautiful Sun". These are going to be your smaller, more briny oyster. Very Tasty!

Blackberry
Harvested from the waters of Northwestern Prince Edward Island where the Foxley River and the Conway Narrows blend together. Blackberry Points resemble Malpeque's in flavor but are more reliably plump and deep-cupped.

Sweet Petites
Sweet Petite oysters, located in the pristine waters of Katana Bay on the eastern side of Martha's Vineyard, MA, are short and stocky with thick, russet colored rounded shells. A neat hinge makes for an easy open into a deep cupped shell loaded with fatted meat. They posses a briny blast and mild chew.

Blue Point
The oysters themselves are seeded on the bottom of Long Island Sound, both the Oyster Bay Area of Long Island and the Norwalk area of Connecticut, dragged up a few years later, and have an extremely mild taste.
